For the past year I've seen a couple textbooks mentioned a lot for materials science, primarily those by Askeland and Callister.

From what I can tell, the topics will shift to focus on polymers for next year, does anyone have recommendations for that topic? AFAIK, Callister has written a version, something like "Fundamentals of Materials Science and Engineering" which covers each branch of materials as it discusses topics, which might be more appropriate for a focus on polymers than his other textbooks, which focus on metals in most of the examples. Does anyone have any other recommendations for polymer chemistry or polymer-specific materials science textbooks?

I've only worked on this event in 2014 and 2017, so the topics were the same both times. What are the expected subtopics for polymers? For straight discussion of polymer chemistry, another place to look is one of the later chapters of an organic chemistry text if you have access to one.
