Re: Bottle Rocket B
I remember watching our launch and the wind launched it really high though it almost hit one of the light thingies. It went straight across the field where we shot it.... And landed in a tree. Lol.

The scores I am getting is with one bottle rocket. That is two. As well, this year we have a significant more amount of weight on the rocket (egg)

						I do oceanography a lot.
I also wish orninthology was an event this year.

Re: Bottle Rockets B
I have a similar design to that nose cone, which is made out of 0.07 inch plastic film that I got form a hobby shop. Also if you are too lazy to roll your own cones, you can get fluorescent light protecter sheaths, which work nearly as well.kendreaditya wrote:Where could i buy this mylar for the nosecone and what thickness is the best
Problems are better pursued with General Electric GE90-115 engines.

Re: Bottle Rocket B
My students and I have been looking for a rocket simulator to help build our rockets. We have used Open Rocket which is decent, but it isn't for water rockets only solid engine powered rockets. Does anyone have a program they have found that is useful?

Re: Bottle Rocket B
Has anyone had any success with Styrofoam nosecones? I was at a invitational in Ohio earlier this year and saw a team that had a 4+ foot Styrofoam nosecone that worked extremely well.
