The kids that did this last year as a trial event said that they had to put together a puzzle of a firetruck.
Why did this have to replace Mystery Architecture?

My coaches put me in this event because of my "problem solving skills." Seriously, I mean, I could understand an all-around science quiz type event, buy why the physical challenges? I'll go ask.
HEY SCIENCE OLYMPIAD EXECUTIVE PEOPLE!!! Can you hear me now? WHY in the WORLD would SCIENTISTS have to JUMP FREAKIN' ROPE???????
Please respond,
A Science Olympiad student

My coach won't let anyone study for the event (how can you?) but instead said that he will just pick some kids to do it just before regionals.

I can understand both arguments, but in my humble option should not be worth the same as another event,. Yes this does test everything "science related" but I can't understand how doing a physical activity that is unknown should be worth the same as an event that does actually takes ALOT of work to place in. (I'm not trying to sound bitterly sarcastic but this is what happens when I type what I think) I mean if you worked really hard for to get your overall team score up would you be angry that you didn't make it to states because of hula-hooping?

One of the things were putting on our t-shirts for this event is "2009 years of science crammed into 5 random questions" I thought it was fitting.

I know. My coach is obsessed with perfection and she made me and the other people in the event study the entire 8th grade txt book. ANd then she got mad when none of us did it.
