I'm hoping to medal for meteorology at Mentor. Also, I have four other events I am trying to place in.

If you are from where I think you are, I think you are the team to beat.

Again, the rules state 1 sheet per student, not 2 sheets per team. At the Solon Invitational it was clear that it was 1 sheet per student. I man team only 1 cheat sheet. My coach asked for clarification at the beginning of the year. I can't find the email fwd at the present time, but it stated that yes, the rule changed form 1 sheet per team to 1 sheet per student. Obviously, during invitationals, it could be open to interpretation. I would have your coach clarify with your specific state and regional leaders before competition so you are prepared. When in doubt, grab a "warm body" team mate and bust out both sheets.

I haven't had a problem with bringing two cheat sheets, as long as there are two people.

Unfortunately, I have had problems with this rule. My partner and I competed, and took gold at State, last year in Meteorology, when there was only one sheet allowed per team.

This year, we saw the rule change. We were excited, and we thought : "Hey!! More notes!!!" However, we got to the first invitational, and the event supervisor told us one sheet per team, like last year. He told us the same thing at t he next invitational.

So, my partner and I have stuck to one sheet :-(

If that's ever the case, you should have a copy of the rules handy to back you up. And if that doesn't work, get a coach, who might sway the supervisor a little more.

Our coach has complained twice, and, the first time, we were right about the notes rule, but we had already completed the event. The same thing happened at the next invitational :x
