Chromatography? Don't you mean cryptography? I think your spiel cheek was a bit off.
Hmm. Who's rude and likes an instrument? And makes that apparent on the board? Advanced search time!

Re: Scioly Assassination 14: Murder from Behind
LOL. As I explained on the IRC to whomever was listening, the Oracle started out as basically a theoretical way for me to creep people out. It was this account that always used italics and spoke with words like 'shall' and stuff. Then I realized that Robotman would have so much more use for it because he picked the current assassin, so I basically gave him the account. Then he thought that I was trying to pull a 'starpug' and rig the game. (although I did purposely sound like some sort of evil mastermind in my PM to him; it was a joke). So then he threatened to tell everyone about the oracle (Tada!) because he thought that I was trying to get him to help me rig the game. Also, the Oracle has exactly 0 posts and 0 sent PMs. You can confirm that on the members list.
So, what rule did I break?

Re: Scioly Assassination 14: Murder from Behind
this was the Oracle PM to me:
dont try to enter the account with that password I changed it to prevent it from being used i dont even remember what it isYou asked why I don't have to worry about black marks. Here's why:
Recently, a new account was created with the username 'Oracle.' An oracle is a mystical entity that knows everything. However, most oracles in history have been very stingy. The Oracle will only tell you what it wants you to know, and it never lies. It will not just answer any old question. It will only answer the question that you most need an answer to deep in your heart. It speaks in a female voice like the one that comes out of your GPS, except it's italicized and only you can hear it. This was my plan for the Oracle account.
1. I somehow figure out the identity of the Assassin. (this is the shaky part of the plan)
2. The Oracle informs an officer of it's existence as an omniscient entity, and tells him that the Oracle will tell him the identity of the current Assassin if he tells the Oracle whom he chooses as the next Assassin when he wins the game.
3. With this knowlege, I become an officer in the next game.
4. The game is now rigged.
Then, I realized that you know whom the Assassin is. So, here's your new plan.
1. As the Oracle, you make the aforementioned deal with a particular officer, already knowing the Assassin's identity.
2. The game is now rigged.
Some rules before you go posting away with the Oracle account:
1. The Oracle speaks in italics.
2. If the chosen officer asks why the 'Oracle' would need to know whom the Assassin is, the Oracle will say that it can only see the present, and it must have this information ahead of time.
3. If the chosen officer asks if the Oracle has another account, the Oracle doesn't.
4. The Oracle speaks mystic-like. No slang, practicality, etc. The Oracle speaks like he's God. (you know, "shall," "thou," "ye," the whole shebang.)
5. If the chosen officer asks a question to test the Oracle's omniscience, the Oracle will condescendingly tell him that in his heart, he does not really want the answer to that question as much as he wants to know whom the Assassin is, and the Oracle is deeply offended.
6. The Oracle may or may not use the same officer twice. Often, though, it is a matter of trust that he should.
7. If the Oracle deems it absolutely necessary (such as when dealing with an atheist or something), the Oracle may privately claim to be one of the Assassin's friends.
8. Nobody talks about the Oracle. The Oracle makes sure that his officers don't talk.
The Oracle's current password is 'abcdefg'. The username is, of course, 'Oracle'. Tell me if you change the password. Have fun!
