Agreed; another thing is that the clientele of scioly.org is much smaller than that of College Confidential (and the scioly.org site itself has significantly fewer forums/threads), so a thumbs-up system might be easier to police here. However, I still fear that such a system could quickly turn into a joke, with public thumbs-up ratings not reflecting a user's true contributions. To clarify what I mean by "public" or "not public," I mean that the thumbs-up a user receives would not be publicly visible, but would be visible only to the user himself via, for example, the Control Panel.

That doesn't necessarily seem worth having if only one person can see it. maybe if it applied to each post, not each user it may work without becoming a CC Fiasco...

What we're trying to do is plan for next year. If we don't have a plan, no changes can be made. We'd also rather not make any large changes in the middle of competition season because there's more traffic now, and we don't want to risk something bad happen.

We are taking your suggestions into account. Just be patient and we'll do what we can, when we can do it.

We can always have a private folder to upload event-related information so that others can share and learn through your work??? Just an idea.

It exists, it is called the wiki.

It appears to me as if updating a wiki file (I only tested this with PDFs) doesn't work. I tried to update the wiki file for my practice test over and over again, yet the file still appeared the same. The only way I could "update" a file was to upload a completely new one and change the links to the file.
