Also, I started a wiki page for the macroorganisms that needs a lot of work to be completed, so any help would be much appreciated

The salinometer should be calibrated to difference NaCl solutions so I don't think you would get anything besides an NaCl solution.

I think it should be changed to a table with the organisms on the left, and different columns on the right pertaining to things such as description, reproduction, and food.

For the macroorganisms, there is a section on the EPA website with information about each organism.

http://www.epa.gov/bioiweb1/index.html
You can search around that page to find the organisms, or you can just google search "EPA (name of organism)" and it should be the first search result.

So I don't know what the rules mean by Aquatic Ecology. For example if one was to wikipedia that: Wikipedia gets confused and gives you a category
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Aquatic_ecology

Does anyone know what type of Aquatic ecology the rules are talking about specifically? In The Competition portion of the rules it says something about "Lakes ponds and rivers" - so does it mean Freshwater ecology?

Thanks!

Most likely it will ask about aquatic ecosystems and stuff like that. Littoral, Limnetic, and benthic sections of a lake. I'm not sure how broad it might be and do you know what it means by "aquatic chemistry"?

This is way outside my knowledge base, but perhaps this will help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siltation
