I'm pretty sure there are questions about trees in general. (as with the other ID events like ornithology and fossils).googlyfrog wrote:Is it only ID and information about each tree, or is there also a portion with information about trees in general?
Also, does the list change a lot? If you have a previous list, then over the summer you could study most of the IDs, assuming they won't change much.

Re: Preliminary:Forestry
So since there's a whole list of trees you need to know and various other information, is it safe to say that a binder will be allowed?

No. If there wasn't a binder for birds, there probably won't be one for trees.fishman100 wrote:So since there's a whole list of trees you need to know and various other information, is it safe to say that a binder will be allowed?
ornithology, forestry, entomology, triple E, green generation, water quality, dynamic planet (lakes & rivers), awesome aquifers, meteorology, robot arm, write it do it. :)

Re: Preliminary:Forestry
Don't rule it out though, there was a binder allowed last time I did this event 6 years ago. It's possible that they'll allow it again even though birds didn't get one.FueL wrote:No. If there wasn't a binder for birds, there probably won't be one for trees.fishman100 wrote:So since there's a whole list of trees you need to know and various other information, is it safe to say that a binder will be allowed?

Re: Preliminary:Forestry
That's interesting, because if I recall correctly, Herpetology didn't allow a binder. I was under the impression that bugs, herpetology, birds, and trees were all analogous; wouldn't they allow the same resources each year per event?gneissisnice wrote:Don't rule it out though, there was a binder allowed last time I did this event 6 years ago. I'm assuming this will focus solely on trees (hence the name).tornado guy wrote:What all in Forestry does someone need to know in Forestry (Other then Trees.)?

Re: Preliminary:Forestry
It could look at ecological and climate aspects of trees, like types of trees, biomes, that sort of things, plus the types of trees that grow in the local area. I'm sort of looking at this like Envirothon.
