Will/Did you make it to nationals?

Getting last at nats is actually my goal for senior year. Why?

a) It implies that we have made nats
b) It means nats is fun, not stressful.

Honestly though, getting last at nats would feel bad. I know that because I set my goal for my eighth grade year: Make national MC. I did. I failed miserably because of sleep deprivation. I was beyond upset, even though I had technically met my goal.

And just by going to Nationals, you learn so much more info for your events, learn more on competing that you can take back for the next year's competitions, and your able to bond with your teammates more.

Agreed. Aside from all the f u n at Nats, you also gain a lot of knowledge and experience in the course of just one day. And in my case, you get a healthy dose of exercise...I remember running from Chem Annex to Foreign Languages and then back to Noyes Lab (which was right next to Chem Annex). People were just looking at me....

Well, like I said in my previous post, getting a low place never feels good, but by the end, you should be building off of your experiance at nats. I always looked at it from a cultural experiance standpoint. I could taste and feel what a city was like. While expanding my kowledge, i was also given the opportunity to experience how diverse our country is, And im grateful for that opportunity.

Lol @ all these people hypothesizing about what it would feel like to get last at nats. I came dangerously close and it wasn't that bad hahaha. And personally I personally got 60th in 2 events that I was put into at midnight the night before competition because our original competitors didn't go to nats and we got 2nd tiered in both of them. Physics lab because our blade broke and nobody told me and experimental design I think, mainly because 2/3 of our ED team hadn't done it at states and the one who had didn't really care/know how to do it. I probably had the worst individual showing at the tournament and I still had fun. And our team did pretty badly too. I think we were like 58th haha. We had 13 team members and 1 senior. So trust me, it's still better to go.

BTW, don't say I'm dumb, cuz I'm not. I was unprepared, not mentally impaired.

Well unless by chance almost the rest of the state of Colorado gets bombed there is no chance that my school will ever go to nats. We would have to compete against a team that has won state for about the past 11 years and with the exception of 2 or 3 years have finished top 15 at Nats, No gonna happen.
