Yes, I think so. Its usually in the rules, so I think that the only way that (s)he would have left it out would have been if (s)he meant it.
Although I would hold out until (s)he gets back on... can non pieces and pawns post, Mr./Ms. Assassinator?

Fmtiger: you can get to the "M" by going left two and up one, and also up two and left one. But I bet that the "quickly!" is the right one... "that" and "the" are pretty short, and they have common letters, but what are the odds of the same thing happening with "quickly!"? I don't think that its a coincidence...
So we have "That.... protect.... quickly!"
We had better get busy... we only have about two days left!

ok, the only way to get to the p in protect is to go through the H or the T, I'd say the best assumption would be the T. So the last letter of the word before protect ought to be T. If protect is correct that makes it The not that since the second T is gone in That so we have The....word ending in T or H protect...quickly. If or course the world protect is correct, being that it's in the middle we can't be sure

... unless the blank spaces represent spaces, in which case you would come from that blank space that is one up and two right of the "P", so we have:
clue wrote:(The or That)<space>...<space>protect<space>...<space>quickly!
EDIT: If in fact you come from that space mentioned above that leads to the "P", then there are no other spaces you can get to from "The"... so I think the first word might be "That"

Because I wasn't sure whether or not this person would allow civilians to post... I requested that the assassinator allow them to, seeing as the games are for the entire community and not 10 lucky people.

EDIT: Given the positive feedback...I have not yet regretted my choice. Assassinator, keep it that way!

EDIT2: I highly doubt that it involves the king moving. None of the permutations of the first 2 letters even comes close to making sense. ao, ai, dw, wd, wk, dk, dl, dh, ii, ih, ia

If you have to land on every square, they probably are spaces.

If you don't, maybe they're just places you can't land? (more hints)

Or maybe they're wild cards (put any letter you want there...the clusters of them make it so that only maybe 5 would appear in your message. In a longer message...figuring out 5 letters is pretty easy.)

I've been looking for one for a while now, but so far the machine with the largest capacity i've found is 35 letters, and the complete series of letters is 49. but if anybody finds a longer one, post it!
