5. Scale trees sequestered so much CO2 from the atmosphere that it caused a cooling climate which led to the extinction of the scale trees.

I believe that all vascular plants have xylem and phloem or else they couldn’t transport water and nutrients. Lepidodendron has secondary xylem but not secondary phloem.
