It's on the feedback forum:

People who denounce evolution based on the fact that "I don't like monkeys" :( . If you have a religious reason, that's your business, but this is the lamest excuse I've ever heard. I have met people who say that. That's an exact quote.

1. So we were doing a chapter on Darwins theory of Evolution in Bio....i sat next to this really religious guy and when we were doing a partner activity on it he whispers to me "**** this ****, do i look like a monkey to you?" As Paleonaps said, dumbest reason ever....

He honestly did look like a monkey to me though...

2. The whole "i got a better score on you on this one test!!"

3. Smart people who don't want people to think their smart because then they'd be labeled as nerds - more importantly, smart girls who don't want people to think their smart.

4. When my friends say their too busy to play tennis and i ask them wat their doing and they say nothing....

This is a big pet peeve of mine, people are certainly entitled to their opinion, but some things in this imaginary 'debate' between creationism and evolution (I call it imaginary because evolution is an accepted truth by the scientific community) is just ridiculous. The idea that it conflicts with religion in the first place isn't true, but I'm not going to get into that.
Things like trying to get creationism taught in schools is unacceptable, the Kansas board of Education with intelligent design in specific. The court case even presented evidence of an intelligent design textbook that in its early drafts went from using "creationism" to replacing it black in white with "intelligent design" in order for it to seem scientifically viable, I don't care about their views, only that they were negligently introducing bias into the classroom where we need facts. I'm not going to get into it more here, but there's a lot of misunderstanding with evolution which is a travesty (if anyone is interested, look up the user potholer54 on youtube, he covers a lot about evolution).

I know I'm bordering close to the religion rule here, I do not mean for this to get into any religious discussion, what I wanted to focus on there was simply the fact that evolution has been unfairly and ridiculously contradicted, coincidentally with something stemming from religion, and I'm dropping this topic after this, if any mods feels it does violate that rule, moderate if you feel it is necessary.

Edit: Oh and Kent Hovind, he gets on my nerves, (he is a creationist by coincidence or not), saying things like "you could encircle the earth with one molecule of water if you spread it real thin" are so ridiculous, its almost comical XD.

The only problem i have with people like Kent Hovind is....they bash the Theory of Evolution by saying it can't be proved. Irony anyone?

You guys watch the thunderf00t videos? He's done a lot of Hovind-bashing. However, if you're at all religious, he kind of go's after religion too, so you may not want to watch the videos. He has a series I'm not going to name here because of the religion rule, but its acronym is WDPLAC.

Complete stupidity but actually not irony, evolution can't be 'proved' in the same way the Cell Theory can't be proved.
No scientist in the world would deny that all living beings are made up of cells, but are we able to look at every single living thing in the world and see if it is made up of cells? No that's unreasonable. But there's so much evidence that thinking anything otherwise is ridiculous, but because of the infeasibility of looking at every single living thing, it has to be labeled as a theory. To go further into the label of a law, it would have to go into mathematics.
Evolution is the same way, we can't label it a law, and there's so much evidence and support for it that no scientist thinks anything different, but we still have to call it theory.

The real misconception is what theory means, in science it is most similar to the word fact in every day language, not idea as many people believe it means.

okay anyways, other pet peeves... being killed over by odds in risk, I 7 troops in a 8 vs 3 battle, my opponent lost 1. The probability of this was 9%.
