I don't feel like reading the rules now...but I'm pretty sure it says that they just have to go off.

The rules don't say anything against elevating the mousetraps, just that they must be unmodified, can't be attached to the floor, etc. So I would assume that putting them on a box or something like that is ok, but if I were you, I'd send in a rule clarification to be sure so you don't get a DQ.

I'd say that would be really bending the rules and probably violating the "spirit" of the event. The mousetrap isn't directly stuck to the floor, but it's indirectly stuck because it's stuck to something that's stuck to the floor. Don't risk a DQ.

People were saying that if the mouse trap goes on five seconds after it starts operating. Can it be more? Also the 59 second bonus...does it have to be exactly 59.00 or from 59 secs to 60 secs?

no, it doesnt have to be exactly 59 seconds, you just want your last trap to be set off as close to 60 seconds as possibl without going over.

I'll probably change it for B division this weekend.

Just FYI, the 5 point bonus is only for the first mousetrap. i would waste, say, 50 seconds, and then have 10 seconds to set of the rest. that almost garantees that your contraption lasts 59 seconds.

I dont want to reveal my awsome diabolical plan (evil snicker), but I have built a toggle system. 4 balls get droped from a tube at the same time from the same place, and all 4 of them go in different directions, every time with almost perfect accuracy.
