Can you elaborate about why you think that way? Just curious

Well first off it wasn't 30 degrees in Florida unlike Colorado, obviously can't control that but lol. The classrooms were huge, which was great! Unlike nationals where there were 2 teams in a high school size classroom. The awards ceremony was amazing, although it took an hour for it to start (basically every awards ceremony tbh), it was worth it. It obviously can't be nats level because you don't use a stadium for regionals, but it was a lot better than FL states. Where we had to either sit on the dirt or stand up for 2 hours. Also, the UF campus was pretty, but the buildings that the events were held in were very far apart, for example, once I got out of Solar System my coach had to drive me to Thermo. I had to get some help for directions because the map was a bit disorienting but once I got to my first even I was alright.

The unofficial list of state qualifiers from Central Division at Ocoee High: (The official scores should come out soon with more details)

Division B:
Rank Team Name Score
1 Orlando Science Team Rocket 70
2 Sanford Warriors 118
3 Orlando Science Charmander 137
4 Seminole Science 1 143
5 Markham Woods Varsity 165
6 Jackson Middle Jaguars 186
7 BOK Academy Sirius 212
8 Markham Woods Junior Varsity 217

Division C
Rank Team Name Score
1 Orlando Science Blue 83
2 Olympia Prometheus 143
3 Orlando Science Red 171
4 Orlando Science White 203
5 Lake Nona Nerd Swag 230
6 Trinity Prep Gold 244
7 Seminole Team 2 254

We had a new site with a new director. It was bound to have many mishaps and it did. However, it was also much better than what could have been considering the overall lack of experience. Campus was great, organization was smooth, the test quality (Thank you North Regional, for backup) and supervising were uneven. We only had one event cancelled due to miscommunication (Potions and Poisons). We had two long breaks at the award ceremony. First was welcome as most of us were tired. The second could have been a problem. Instead we had the awesomest dance show in a Science Olympiad award ceremony in a long while. It was fun and everyone had a blast. Even the old people that did not dance :).

I'm amazed to see the high number of posts on Florida's forum. Division B scores look very tight. I'm on the winning team from Sanford. This is our 2nd year doing scioly and this is gonna be our 2nd year going to states!

Florida State Predictions

Div B

1. OSS Team A - After outstanding performances at recent invitational, and flushing out all Floridian teams at their own invitationals. They have done amazing this year and I don't think will stop.

2. River City A - After a really bad performance in the first OSS invitational. They have gotten increasingly better invitational after invitational, the reason I place it at second is because they beat Archimedean and other rivals in the last OSS invitational.

3. Archimedean Middle Conservatory A / OSS Team B - If I'm going to be honest this is kind of a guess, I have only seen them at 1 competition which was the OSS Invitational and they got 4th. We will have to see their performance at the FAU regional. I believe there is a chance that they could be beat by OSS B, as they got 2nd at the invitational.
