Probably because it was the california gold rush...
Honestly, there doesn't need to be an assassin this game. If you're going on the California Gold Rush, you might just die anyway.

Unfortunately, venules was tipped off by linzhiyan that this voyage to the west was doomed, and so her heart will go on today.

In the long run, though, venules was one of the lucky ones. At any given moment, there were about 011000010110111001100001011001110111001001100001011011010000110100001010 things that could go wrong, including sickness; mosquitoes; lack of food; "accidentally" ramming wagons into other wagons, rocks, or people; nasal fits; whatever. But, you know, people still went for the fun. Just call them bandwagons. <- That's not part of the clue, it's just for fun XD

I'm pretty sure TheChiScientist is correct about Tailsfan101 being the target.
"All Unicode characters can be represented soly by UTF-8 encoded ones and zeros (binary numbers)." From a website, I don't remember which one.
Anyways, I protect UTF-8 U+6211 U+662F because UTF-8 was mentioned in the quotation above about unicodes and binary numbers.

Huh. Well that was a quick in and out. You think anything in there is related to identity? (probably not, but you never know....)

I suspect bandwagon is part of the clue. My suspects to that end up being Alex-RCHS and Unome simply by association to recent comments on bandwagoning and then anyone for Mason maybe... (Mason bandwagon anyone?) Also judging by the use of XD I suspect a frequent IRC user. :)

1. *palms face* I listed Alex_RCHS as a potential suspect!
2. Yes protects may be changed. (I recommend you do so  )
3. My guesses are based on instinct and nothing rock solid. Yet. ;)
