To be completely honest, I lucked out on this because I had a very similar picture in my binder. I used http://animaldiversity.org/accounts/Nerodia/pictures/ and had the second picture, and I figured they were the same (although now that I see the picture close-up, they look quite different :?:).

1. Uta (Urosaurus), Side-Blotched  Lizard (Tree lizard)
2. Average of 4 but can vary between 1-8 (one source said 12?)
