She literally tried out for six events her junior year. SIX! NONE of which were at regionals. I'm not sure if she should pick up new events or if NJSO needs to figure out how to organize these things better. I think this is the second year they've decided to run ProtMod as a trial event.
Doesn't make it any less of a chance :P
I mean true, but at this point I'm a senior, and I have the 4 events I'm already studying for, and a lot of people will already have spent time on the events I'd want to steal of them so it makes more sense for them to compete than me to start from scratch, and like this year I wanted to spend most of my time on organising teams and the other competitions we have and other parts of my life, it doesn't really make a lot of sense to start from scratch at something...

But you're right, I should be more open to a wider variety of events, and since the event list for regionals is at least out it's not like I'm going to master 2 new events and then discover that they too will not be at Regionals, lol.

I have no regrets.

Based on the allotted amount of time for the actual competition, there will probably be around 4 testing sessions. isn't it normally 5 sessions?

Idr the exact schedule from last year but looking at my team's pairings, you're at least correct that UCC had 5 time slots last year
