Re: Illinois 2018
Still working on my final state prediction (Mainly cuz I think this year 2nd place might come down to only <10 points) but for now here is how I see the top ten going down.
(note that they are in no particular order)
1. Stevenson (We all know this for a fact)
2. New Trier (I mean it would be a shock to not see them in the top ten)
3. Crystal Lake Central (Has had a very strong showing year round and also snagged that 2nd place bid right under Hinsdale C noses at COD)
4. Naperville North (Is it just me or have they just popped up on the ISO radar outta nowhere?)
5. Hinsdale Central (Got 2nd taken from them barely at COD but this a good team in general)
6. Neuqua Valley (Scary low score at their regional vs decent competition)
7. Waubonsie Valley (Strong contenders overall)
8. University of Chicago Lab (Over the past year they have shown significant improvement)
9. Metea Valley (Strong performance at their regionals showing they can handle tough competition)
10. Naperville Central (They got a decent score with COD being super hard this year but are lacking as Naperville N is stronger than them)
These are the teams I see making top 10 easily but the top 5 still remains up in the air.

Re: Illinois 2018
Naperville Central was repeated twice or are you talking about their second team?
