Buoyancy is also known as Buoy oh Buoy if that's of any help. At my most recent invitational, it was also known as Density.rfscoach wrote:I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!Unome wrote:Assuming I arrive at awards on time - live medal display for Forsyth County Regionals this Saturday. On a separate note, an updated SOSI schedule was recently posted. There are a couple event changes. Any idea what "Buoyancy" would involve? No trial rules posted on SOINC.
I think Buoyancy is the same as Density Lab, which I believe is in the soinc.org trial sectionrfscoach wrote:I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!Unome wrote:Assuming I arrive at awards on time - live medal display for Forsyth County Regionals this Saturday. Good luck to everyone competing!

I don't have the scoresheet, nor do I know whether it's been sent out yet (I suspect not). Also, I forgot to post the results:Fornax572 wrote:Unome, can you provide the scoresheet for the tournament at Forsyth?
I don't have the scoresheet, nor do I know whether it's been sent out yet (I suspect not). Also, I forgot to post the results:
1. Fulton Science Academy
2. McCleskey
3. Autrey Mill
4. Taylor Road
5. River Trail
All of the above qualify for state. Interestingly, Chamblee did not manage to qualify. Based on medal tallies, River Trail was definitely split, and the same is likely true for Taylor Road - I expect stronger state performances. FSA's second team almost certainly finished in 2nd overall, based on the medals at least.
From Georgia Tech:
1. GSMST
2. Walton?
3. Wheeler
And one more team qualifying for state, though I don't know who it is.
Score sheet shows no DQs for Taylor Road in any event. Looks like you got an 11th and a 13th in Wright Stuff. A no show would be scored a 14, a DQ would be scored as 15.Fornax572 wrote:There has been some bias against our team in regionals. First, the wright stuff was delayed by 40 minutes, and the event supervisors called our team last. Then, after the judge called our team done and said that they could leave, and our coach escorted a student that was late for an event by 25 minutes while leaving the other partner to pack his stuff up. The student going to the other event was late for 25 minutes, and after the coach voiced her concerns, they got some extra minutes. Afterwards, the event supervisor (who will probably be at the state competition) called the coach and said that since the other partner wasn't there, that the people doing Wright Stuff were disqualified. It is confusing, but it shows that in state, we may not have a fair judgement there.
Has anyone experienced that or knows people who do that sort of thing?
