I know. That was the one part where they could have improved drastically.

I'm torn. It was a fun, exciting, entertaining movie, except that I felt like it was repeatedly driving a stake through me. There were just SO many changes... I found it rather painful. Why why why why why!?

Here's my opinion on the HBP movie.

I was really entertained. It was really funny almost throughout until the end where it got serious. The chemistry between Ron and Hermione and Ron and Lavender was pretty much perfect. The actress for Lavender took the character in the right direction in my opinion. Horace Slughorn was wonderful.

Some things that annoyed me was that the kiss and overall relationship of Harry and Ginny in the movie was not portrayed to my liking. Apparently, according to the movie, Harry likes Ginny pretty much as soon as he gets to the Weasley's, the way he looks at her in the window when arriving. The kiss was OK but was not carried out in the way I expected.

Leaving out a couple memories was fine, but they should not have left out the one with Hepzabah Smith, because Voldemort gets two objects from her for Horcruxes. Now moviegoers without sufficient Potter knowledge will be lost in Deathly Hallows as to how Harry all of a sudden knows about every Horcrux, unless they explain somehow.

But the movie overall was awesome. The locket in the ocean cave scene was marvelous and Dumbledore fighting off the inferi was absolutely spectacular. And even though I think they didn't need the extra scene with the Burrow being attacked (I think they should have substituted it for another memory) it was pretty exciting.

Considering the length of the book, they did a pretty good job cutting it down, but still keeping the major exciting points of the plot line. I give it 4/5 stars.
