I’ve used her for J and it’s counted before.JionPark wrote:Would Irene Joliot- Curie be counted as J or C for a category?

Re: Fast Facts B
My interpretation is that “scientific units” means SI units but units of measurement can include anything (weeks, furlongs, acres.. very broad category!)JionPark wrote:What's the difference between scientific units and unit of measurements?
Re: Fast Facts B
I would think that they're fairly similar. The only difference is that SI units have to be the International Unit System (meters, ampere) while Units of Measurement can be anything (yards, etc).JionPark wrote:What's the difference between scientific units and unit of measurements?

Re: Fast Facts B
They use a lot of topics from other events such as Herpetology, so study terms from other events. In general, I think the most important topics are the ones that are already events, but also study things like scientist names or elements. Elements are very common, make sure you know all your elements.vehicleguy wrote:I may be in this event and regionals is in less than 2 weeks. What are the most important topics to cover?
2019 events: Water Quality, Battery Buggy, Elastic Launch Glider, Density Lab, Circuit Lab, Thermodynamics

Re: Fast Facts B
So at a competition, I got "Scientists Before the 1900s" as one of my categories. For C, my partner and I put "Marie Curie", who was born in 1867 and died in 1934. Since she did most of her work in the 1900s, would she count as a valid answer in that category?
