anyone know the pitch of the symmetrical props that come w the ff kit?
it's not about the medals; go out there and have fun. make progress, learn a few things and have one heck of a time; that's all that matters.

New prop is 30 degree at 75% radius. Perfect for our setup, no more twist or re-hub.

Anyone experimented with braided motors? I feel like I have the right combination of rubber and prop, but I'm not using all the winds. I get the to point that the motor is sagging some, but there are still a lot of winds (I know I should count them but haven't.....CoachChuck is in my head). I've seen on the "pro" sites that they braid the motors sometimes to keep it more tight between prop and hook. I also see that "braiding" is really giving it twists before tying the motor in a loop. I have some practice gym time later this week and I'm thinking about trying it, just wondered if anyone has done this and what your experience was?

I had a nice explanation that I typed, but some software error in this website inserted lots of spelling errors. So I deleted the same.
Short answer - never braid a WS rubber motor.
Braiding of rubber motors is only used with outdoor models to prevent motor bunching and CG shifting.

I measured four of the FF kit propellers that we have lying around and they range between 38 and 42 degrees pitch as measured using the FF pitch gauge. My version of this pitch gauge measures at 2.1875” radius.

The average pitch at 2.1875” radius of the four propellers I measured just now is 11.53”. Not a big deal as most props are not truly helical; just good to be aware of.
