Really could've been lots of things teal. such as Upland Sandpiper, brown headed cowbird, woodpeckers.

INCA dove?
and here is a link to a picture of each (act. nvmnd... just a pic.) ... mourning doves have more black on there wings , sometimes a faint white ring around their eyes...

white winged tend to be thinner and duh, white on there wings.

common ground doves have "ridges with some black on their wings, and tend to have a smaller build.

and inca doves have few markings whatsoever...
