ha! i went to all this trouble putting a mirror on our device next to the laser because the laser was mounted, and the label was hard to see (even though it was a caution one), because it would have been really stupid if we had gotten d.q.'ed for that, and they never even looked that closely at it.

I know this is way late, but has anyone ever had the person running the event take your graphs and not return them? Thank goodness we had extra copies, but my point is, is that supposed to happen or are you supposed to get them back?

I didn't get my graphs back at state competition.

At nationals I saw that happen to one team, and they didn't have extras. The judge who was with them said they couldn't have them back. And then for us, our judge said we could have them back. I guess it wasn't run very consistently. I feel bad for those guys.

At every competition we've been at, the judges were kind enough to ask if we wanted them back. We always had about 50 extras, though, so it didn't really matter. You should always be prepared, especially in building events.

Hmm, that's strange- the national Trajectory supervisor (the big guy who was yelling out everyone's names) is also the NY state supervisor, and he's usually very on top of things, and very nice. Maybe one of his assistants didn't know what was going on, though.
