There's an announcement on the State website about a hovercraft clarification but it doesn't actually link to the clarification, it just gives a kind of vague description of where it can be found. Did anyone actually find a state clarification about hovercraft?

1/23/17 Hovercraft:

Hovercraft propellers must be shielded from all sides (including the bottom).
Competitors who touch a moving hovercraft will forfeit a successful run.
Hovercrafts with construction violations or no successful runs will score no points.
The Hovercraft scoring formula rewards a time score of 0 for any run time less than half the target time (you will score better with slower runs).

Quite a gap. Didn't Kellenberg beat you guys two years ago?
The scores were tied two years ago but they had more first-place medals.

Thanks, I actually found it eventually. Is it just me, or is our State website really, really poorly designed? For example, the page you linked is called "/tournaments" but is referred to as "Event Information" but is not reachable through either the "tournaments" button or the "events" button. :?:

Speaking of the website, has anybody figured out how to find the scoresheets from other regions without the direct link?

According to these results, Williamsville North placed above Canisius. Did they turn down their states spot or something to that effect?

*swoop* Haha, I get the chance to post for Nassau East (hopefully typing this all right):

1. Syosset - A (101, 145) [~sigh~ at least they still did killed in anat, astro...and still 1st overall! Me hopes they will kick their butts in gear because of this, but time will tell]
2. Jericho - A (120, 167)
3. Hicksville - A (149, 198)
4. Syosset - B (174, 246)
5. The Wheatley School - A (186, 240)
6. Wantagh - A (190, 263)
7. Division Ave - A (193, 246)
8. Syosset - C (223, 312)
9. MacArthur - B (226, 278)
10. Island Trees - A (226, 291)

Another note is they list true totals, which I listed next to each team's main score. Seems like drop lowest 2? From the scores, Syosset seemed to do best from getting more high medals than Jericho (as typical for most competitions I guess), with 3/5 of their worst events involving builds which no surprise by that...still top 10-able, but I suppose it won't be a top 5 unless they really move it up a notch.

Additionally, I miss the days back then where we would all be at Kellenberg ;). Many a year it was where Kellenberg took 1st...but it was hefty competition from GNS of course when I was around!

Div Ave seems weaker than I remember. Syosset doesn't seem to have recovered from their fall last year (how large is this regional again?)

Added a few more notes there too. The region is 44 teams, though Massapequa B didn't seem to compete. Also, yes their fall is indeed probably going to stay until maybe another year or two I hope...at least from what I hear of the underclassmen from the grapevine.

Div Ave I think also had a big peak a few years ago when I was around, though usually Hicksville edges them out with how the region is organized. The bigger drop I think is Wantagh (though, I think that already was from last year) and then also interesting is how Jericho is still rising. Still don't know if they can beat out Syosset, but who knows?

Oops - I screwed this up as well. The placings are correct but you're right, Will North finished top 5, not Canisius.

My brain was really miswired yesterday.
