Last year, the state schedule was released about a week before today. It still hasn't been released for this year, but hopefully it's soon

Sounds familiar; we got the schedule 2-3 weeks later this year (though admittedly state was 3 weeks earlier too).

I think they'll release the schedule after the final regionals or when they release team numbers. It makes sense that they'd wait until they release team numbers because it appears that the rationale behind assigning team numbers at once is to level out the playing field since teams who qualify for state in the very beginning have more time to prepare for some of the terrible scheduling conflicts that state usually has (like come on Anatomy and Disease at the same time)

All the regionals are over (last one was at UT Austin yesterday), so they'll probably be releasing the schedule pretty soon.

The TAMU Sci Oly site states that, "State team numbers will be randomly generated after the last Regional tournament has ended and all State contending teams notified and confirmed. No later than April 1, 2017." As the last regional just ended yesterday, we should be getting the numbers soon, thus resulting in a schedule to come out soon as well.

If you are wondering if it screws over your school, it probably does.
