Here's what I said at the beginning of the year:
EastStroudsburg13 wrote: B:
1. Springhouse
2. Bala Cynwyd
3. Shady Side
4. Strath Haven
5. Some team that didn't get top 10 last year. I'll say Whitehall-Coplay
6. Eagle View
7. Park Forest
8. Tredyffrin/Easttown
9. Welsh Valley
10. Franklin Regional

C:
1. Harriton
2. Penncrest
3. Rustin
4. Stoga
5. Shady Side
6. Strath Haven
7. NW Lehigh
8. Lower Merion
9. North Pocono
10. Parkland
For the most part, I'm going to stick with C. As of yet, there haven't been too many results to dissuade me from this yet. As invite season goes on, I'll be watching to see if Shady Side can keep posting good results, if Abington Heights stays strong, if Parkland meets higher predictions, if Perkiomen Valley appears at any invitationals, how Stroudsburg is doing after some graduation hits, and if North Pocono keeps struggling, but so far I'll stick with what I had.

B, I'm going to change a bit. I'm now going with this:

1. Springhouse
2. Shady Side
3. Bala Cynwyd
4. Strath Haven
5. Eagle View
6. Franklin Regional
7. Park Forest
8. Garnet Valley
9. Welsh Valley
10. Hershey

Springhouse is clearly head and shoulders above everyone else at this point in time. Bala Cynwyd's struggles at Rustin are enough for me to drop them down to third behind Shady Side, but I don't think I'm going to drop them any further, as they did much better at regionals last year than they did at Rustin. I still don't see Franklin Regional breaking into the top 4, at least until I see them with a strong invite performance, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for the time being, given the lack of strong performances from other normal contenders. This is why Eagle View is at 5; their performance at Rustin was solid enough to be put ahead of most other teams.

Park Forest is 7 because magic.

Garnet Valley did REALLY well at Rustin, but in the past, teams that pop out of the blue at Rustin don't always jump straight into the upper echelon of the state. 8th is a safe estimation at this point; they could move up or down depending on results later in the year.

Welsh Valley really did not do well at all at Rustin. I still think their potential is a lot higher than that, but I don't necessarily think they have as high of a floor as they normally do. Hershey is in there as a filler option just based on their solid showing at Rustin and a general history of appearing in the top 10 on occasion. There are other teams worth watching, such as Whitehall Coplay, Devon Prep, J.R. Fugett, and Abington Heights, as well as anyone who excels at regionals, but this is how the teams stack up in my mind, at present.

We already sent them an email about it. We haven't heard back yet but I'm assuming they'll put the writers and doers of each team in the same timeslot like they did last year, although the tournament is under new leadership so they might do something different(I'm sure if they do something different it'll at least make sense).

Do they really have to put two Chem events in the same timeslot, especially when they're the only two events there? Switching either MatSci or Forensics with Rocks would probably get rid of some Earth science or ID conflicts that I'm sure people are bound to have too.

Overall I'm pretty disappointed in this schedule(9 sign-up events but we can't put any of them in the last timeslot?), but if the venue has scheduling limitations what can you do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's... interesting. A pretty heavy bias towards X, and even then Y and Z can still pass info.

That's not a bias towards X; they have to build before the instructions have even been written!

Maybe it's just me but it looks like a lot more thought went into the B division schedule. WIDI makes sense, and there are no unnecessary same-group event conflicts. It's overall a little more well rounded... except for the part where they forgot to include times for Microbe Mission.

Some events were run pretty poorly last year, I hope this tournament doesn't start to go into a decline.

what school (Div B) is the feeder to Rustin?

I believe Stetson is the one that mainly feeds into Rustin. The other schools in West Chester Area SD are Peirce which feeds mainly into Henderson, and Fugett which feeds mainly into WC East. This is based off of geographic location though, so there could be some mixing that I'm not aware of.

East has it right. Each of those 3 middle schools feeds into the respective high school exclusively.

Oh and don't worry too much about that C-division schedule. I am sure they will improve it and make WIDI make sense.

Yup, schedule has been updated. I know it probably wasn't because of me, but I'm gonna go ahead and take credit for the DP and MatSci swap in the schedule(but only if people are happy with it).
