The lack of activity on the national website compared to last years site begs the question of why. Is this foreshadowing to a lesser quality national tournament?

I second this bump. From what little I remember of the Nationals site in 2013, it had more info on it at this point (though this was probably about when I visited it for the first time so I might be remembering wrong).Ashernoel wrote:urgency/concern agreement bumpwindu34 wrote:The lack of activity on the national website compared to last years site begs the question of why. From what I've heard, all tests this year will be 25 multiple choice questions and 10 true or false. This way, they can use scantrons and get all tests graded promptly, which is necessary of they want to hand out medals to the top 45 teams in each event.windu34 wrote:Is this foreshadowing to a lesser quality national tournament?

In response to the various questions, I think some more info will be posted this week, and a lot more next week. I believe there is still a minor pricing issue for the dorms/meals to be resolved before they can post all the details (and no, before anyone asks, they aren't going to post everything else sooner for some reason). I know Roller Coaster and Herpatology are 2 trial events locked down. There is still some discussion about whether to add 2 more or not. I think the Event Supervisor list will be published in the program (like it was in 2013). I'm not sure if it'll go on the website or not.
There is lots of planning activities going on behind the scenes, and yes the reality is we are a bit behind schedule of where we had hoped to be. I fully expect us to be able to pull everything together in the next few weeks. In general, we are relying heavily on the plans/experience from the 2013 Nationals as well as the January Invitational.

Would you say things are progressing equally well to the 2016 nationals site? (probably one of the best run nationals)chalker wrote:In response to the various questions, I think some more info will be posted this week, and a lot more next week. Will Roller Coaster and Herpetology be both divisions, or will they be exclusive to one division or another?chalker wrote:In response to the various questions, I think some more info will be posted this week, and a lot more next week. Also, what is the "program" and when do we get it? Is it like the small booklet we got at last year's Nats?

Last year's booklet was not a very great program. The 2015 one (an A4 sized booklet with around 10-15 pages, similar to the Illinois state one) is a much better example.kenniky wrote:Will Roller Coaster and Herpetology be both divisions, or will they be exclusive to one division or another?chalker wrote:In response to the various questions, I think some more info will be posted this week, and a lot more next week. Welp, I wouldn't know, last year was my first year there :pUnome wrote: Last year's booklet was not a very great program. The 2015 one (an A4 sized booklet with around 10-15 pages, similar to the Illinois state one) is a much better example.
If we only get the list like two days before the competition I'm going to be pretty disappointed

Is there any information on whether or not there will be an Ultimate Frisbee tournament this year?
