East Long Island area, Divison B, 2nd place in Experimental. Did two events, only placed in one. :\ Since I'm a seventh grader, I mostly did filler events that nobody else could be bothered to take up. Overall my team did well, second place behind Gelinas, our sister middle school. Not too disappointing, since that school's SciO team is funded like crazy and made 10th at nationals last year.

Hi. My regional results are out, but I don't know how to read them. Could anybody take a look at
http://www.lacountyscienceolympiad.org/ ... res_LA.pdf

and possibly tell me what they think the first 3 schools in trajectory are? I'm a little too afraid to jump to conclusions D:

Beverly Hills won, Temple City is 2nd, Arcadia is 3rd in Trajectory. You just read it like a table. The columns all say the place that the school got in that event.

Hey, I'd say "funded like crazy" is an exaggeration. Still, 2nd place is nothing to sneeze at, ever, no matter who you're behind.

I'm on the same team as pjgscioisamazing; that would be Gelinas, that Devari mentioned. I got 1st in Bio-Process Lab and Experimental Design, and 2nd in Crime Busters and Crave the Wave

It's worth noting that they (PJG) are funded mostly by grants that their coach goes out and hustles from sponsors. I don't think they get that mush from the school.

I think I know you. :0

Anyway, all I know are things some Gelinas friends told me and what is apparent by just being around the team. I wasn't trying to downplay the team's accomplishments at all, haha, again, great job guys.

Oak Ridge A : 1st

Oak Ridge B: 2nd

I didn't do so hot. The regionals are poorly ran. The tests had many spelling errors, and the directions should be clear-cut. How should you know whether to put specifics or general?
How many of those 7 teams make it to states?
