You're right. He never did (assuming it's a he).
This was intentional.
BWhat do they all have the same of?
AThe Lady died with him but was not born until long after, in 1954.
Correction: A + B + [space] + [Two letters, both uppercase]
If the Lady were real, she would not have died 362 years before she was born.

Good job! So does this mean that we are protecting Skink, or that the Assassinator is aiming to kill someone else? Were the other clues keys to solve the cipher?

Nvm. I figured it out lol.

The trapdoor opened, and Skink almost fell in. I was so close, and I could've pushed Skink in until Skink said "I'll not budge an inch" which was UTF-8's cue to jump in and save him. Next time the clue won't be so easy. Now to plan the killing of my next victim. A sinkhole should work.

I'm not sure what you mean.

In case you were wondering:
abbreviation for computer -> comp
past participle of lie -> lain (or lied but that makes no sense)
plural noun ending -> s

comp + lain + s = complains
comp + lied + s = NOT A WORD
BWhat do they all have the same of?
AThe Lady died with him but was not born until long after, in 1954.
Correction: A + B + [space] + [Two letters, both uppercase]

According to azuritemalachte, qkjrpe through a keyword cipher with key Underbough is sonerd, so I protect SOnerd.

I traveled to the north and looked for my target with no avail. Then, I traveled to the south and looked for my target again with no avail. How could he have packed up and moved? Then, I moved to the east looking around. This makes no sense, I thought. I looked to the west and saw the beautiful sunset. While I was distracted, UTF-8, aided with the ghost of azuritemalachite, sneaked up on me and attacked. They had been following me the whole time. How could I be so stupid?

In the prison I stayed for around 10 hours before I broke out, the guards were asked to conduct a survey on all of the prisoners. Why, you ask? It is because the guards have nothing else to do but torture us. When the guard asked "What is your favorite food?" I knew I could not say my real favorite food, as it is illegal, so I untruthfully answered, "Chocolate." When the guard inquired "Did you know that chocolate had special chemicals in it to make you feel happy?" I replied "I don't need an excuse for chocolate." Then, I used Cellulose Grade 4 and asked ransom. When they threatened to have a high-precision missile aimed at me, I fled. Next, I came up with another victim. I came back and left a note in my old cell:

A small nation named after its river sits there, and my next victim may have once been a slave there. Strange, isn't it? Now, as you read this post, I am probably sitting on a plane, already heading there from SOnerd's house.

I'm completely lost. Is this a clue, or just an elaboration of SOnerd's not death?

It is the clue, and as pramised, here is an identification clue:
Bzrmvve 23 2 6
Eioexwvr 17 12 7
Qfafaoelc 2 2 3
Eioexwvr 60 1 3
Qfafaoelc 2 2 3
Eioexwvr 10 6 8
Bzrmvve 23 2 6
Bzrmvve 20 2 3

The encryption method for the text does not involve vinegar.
