Yeah they didn't host bungee last year as well. But I think its because they don't have an accurate scoring system. They should probably (next year if bungee doesn't rotate out) make it so you can compete on bungee but it doesn't go to your overall score.

The scheduling actually turned out decently well for us, the biggest problems facing us is fermi/chem lab and compound machines/cell biology being in the same timeslots

Something that's bothering me right now is the inequity in conflicts. I don't mind too much when all teams have the same conflicts cause it's something everyone has to work around. But due to the use of both odd/even blocking and team number blocking, this schedule creates six different sets of conflicts. (And then there's the random Fermi slot where all teams go at once)

Just wondering what other people thought of this. I know my coach has emailed the State Coordinator about it to see if something could be done to make the schedule more consistent for all teams.

It does create six. But at this point, there are only 4 options because team numbers 1-10 have been taken. So the remaining teams are going to be 11-31. But totally agree, the schedule is not consistent per team. Correct me if I'm wrong but in previous years, they didn't have events like Experimental and TPS split up by team number, just even/odd.

Which Lone Star Regional? There's the one at Lone Star - CyFair and also the one at Lone Star - University Park, but I'm guessing you're asking about the latter since that was the most recent one.

I didn't compete myself, was only there during the awards ceremony to cheer on my younger brother. Thus, I don't have official scores and the following are just from memory.

B Division:
Aragon Middle School (1st)
Kahla Middle School (2nd)
Kingwood Middle School (3rd) *not too sure about this one....

C Division:
Stephen F. Austin High School (1st)
A&M Consolidated High School (2nd) *again, not too sure
And I don't remember third place....

On the topic of the UT regional, just would like to say that at least for my events, it was very well run and the tests/proctoring were generally quite good, especially Crave the Wave. It was challenging and the first competition where I've actually seen labs/hands on stuff for crave. Considering that it was the proctor's first time running this event it's even better. There were a few hitches here (e.g. the prism station where the light was very faint) and there but it was a great test.

Honestly, the only thing I would have different is that the regional was a week or two earlier. This was an excellent regional imho.

I think one of the biggest problems for me is that we have an entire time slot where only 2 people are competing. It's a waste of time that could have been used for avoiding event conflicts instead of creating more.
