Ohio Case Regional Meteorology Please follow the event guideline. Over the past several yrs when I competed in this event, the tests were often off topic i.e. Weather and Climate yr but tests had storm questions, etc. Also, please make the test discriminating to separate teams. A 20 question test is not appropriate, rather 60-85 question would. Thank you in advance.

The chances of someone running that event at that regional seeing this message here are very slim. You should reach out the regional director about this. Contact information is available on the Ohio Science Olympiad website.

I will give it a try. As a 10th grader, there are only so many forums where one can voice an opinion and hope to promote change. I meant no disrepect to the people at CWSU as I appreciate all that help provide an opportunity such as Scioly.

A general note to you and all participants: don't think it's disrespectful to raise concerns and offer suggestions (as long as it's done in an appropriate manner, place, etc - e.g. non confrontational, not 60 seconds before the event starts, etc. etc).

At coaches clinics, I regularly give this advice specifically regarding appeals and arbitrations. If the event supervisors / tournament directors aren't made aware of issues, we can't have a chance to correct or address them. I can't tell you the number of times I've been arbitrating at a tournament and had a supervisor essentially say "gosh, if the students had only brought this issue up right away, I could have fixed it, but now here we are hours later and trying to come up with some sort of equitable resolution after the fact".
