Why is Fermi Questions being run as an event? It's not on the 2014 list.

Some people asked for an extra event because we're unable to run 2 other things due to restrictions. There was a preference for Fermi among the organizers, and thus we went with it.
Judging by your tone, we're still open to input on this as to how good or bad an idea this is, what other options may be more palatable, e.g., only running national events, picking another trial from NY or the state most registered teams are from, etc.

Sorry if i sounded mad. I'm not upset about it, I was just curious. But I do agree with you. It may be better to run a trial event instead.

Hey guys!
Hope you are enjoying the last 2 weeks of your summer break (or more/less, depending on your school district).
I'm here to let you know that we have finalized our registration dates as follows:
Opens: September 1st, 2013
Closes: December 1st, 2013
These dates are posted on the updated portions of our website,
http://yuso.yale.edu/yale-invitational- ... gistration. A link to the registration form will be posted at that link when we open registration up. Though the deadline is in December, if we fill up to our capacity of around 45-50 teams, then registration will close early. Each school can send up to 2 teams.
So let your coaches and captains know! We look forward to seeing you on campus!
