I agree with Cedavis, it's more likely this clue points to tornado than haverstall.

Since Hav and tornado are both protected and I think tornado's probably the target, I don't see anything to do but to protect myself because I don't want to die.

The capitalized words that don't begin sentences spell out STAEQTP. What does that mean? Try ciphers.

As I said before, each of those capitalized words are names of boats sunk by mines. Since "mine" is italicized, I'm fairly certain that this was all we were supposed to have for the clue. I doubt deciphering those letters will get anything.

On another note, I've noticed that the sassy has only posted anything, even edits to his/her own posts, exactly on the hour. Does it remind any of you of anyone?
