So I, the long time lurker and not frequent poster, find myself interested. Just in case everyone else takes Spanish: In French, je me lave les cheveux means "I wash my hair".

Uh, harryk sounds a bit like hair, but is the sassy allowed to target the same person twice? Perhaps washing hair is a hint at the gender?

And also, I think the first few clues were easy because this Sassy is playing GlaDOS. The levels start out easy and get harder, and she tries to be misleading and tell you you're going the wrong way, which might account for the climbing too high. Again, I'm a newb to actually playing so if this all seemed obvious I apologize.

I protect starpug, because it was he who said that.

I think the trick in this clue was that we were not necessarily supposed to take notice of the fact that it was a quote.

Harryk sounds like the most plausible target to me, with the "hair" connection

I think twototwenty is right since starpug did post that in YDRC

But I'll protect myself as well just to be safe

Congratulations, twototwenty. You have successfully protected starpug.

A curse has fallen upon my target, or rather, a hex. Woe to him or her if not saved.

Hex: FF, 02, 04, 08, 10, 20, 40, FF
Decimal: 255, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 255

Nothing much, just a 2^x pattern going on, except for the 255's at the beginning and end.

Binary (just for kicks):
11111111
00000010
00000100
00001000
00010000
00100000
01000000
11111111

The 1's in binary form a Z...

I noticed that the assassinator places a space after his/her ellipses, as in his/her signature: "Will you pass... or fail?" I have noticed that on these boards, people tend to habitually stick to one style (either space or no space after ellipses) and not deviate from their style. On the basis of this observation, we can narrow down the suspect list considerably. I have not done a comprehensive check of all possible suspects, but here are a few:

People who use a space after their ellipses, and thus remain suspects:
zyzzyva98 (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 58#p187958)
Kokonilly (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 50#p188463)
illusionist (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 10#p189115)
Bogoradwee (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 55#p189708)
kjhsscioly (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 55#p189869)
harryk (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 38#p195038)
tornado guy (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 98#p197298)
TheGenius (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 65#p185165)
The Eviscerator (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 42#p165342)

People who do not use a space after their ellipses, and thus who can be removed from suspicion:
foreverphysics (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 58#p188268)
tuftedtitmouse12 (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 58#p188356)
salcedam (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 65#p188660)
AlphaTauri (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 25#p189399)
EpicFailOlympian (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 55#p189888)
Littleboy (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 98#p197298)
haverstall (example: http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 93#p195893)

Tornado guy found out that the sassy of this game is a girl (http://scioly.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php? ... 64#p198418), and the only two girls on the above suspect list are Kokonilly and kjhsscioly. Right now I'm a bit suspicious of Kokonilly, but I don't think there's sufficient evidence to accuse her right now.

(Also, if the assassinator tries any shenanigans by changing the signature, here's a screenshot of the signature at the time I wrote this post: http://i.imgur.com/NcoKw.png)

Congratulations, AlphaTauri. Instead of studying for your regional competition, like you should have done, you stopped to save some beetle's life. Just for kicks.

To the North, the French. To the east, a great island and a vast sea. To the South, the first of thirteen. To the West... the great unknown. Above, dark clouds. Below, an empty coffin. Forty-eight hours from now, a lifeless corpse. Unless...you...can...save...them.......................Take that Luo.(..)

Referencing Canada, perhaps? French to the North, great island and vast sea to east, thirteen colonies below--it makes sense. Not sure about the rest. Anyone Canadian?
