Oh, there's a mobile version all right; it's just sort of in beta testing right now and you can't enable it from the UCP. I accidentally stumbled across it while it was enable-able and as far as I'm aware, for the moment, I'm the only "normal" person who has access. (Note to mods: I prefer using the mobile version over the regular version on my iTouch, so can I keep it for now?)
Edit: Apparently I'm not the only one. *shrug*

Most people don't notice this, but I find it questionable that there is a Go and a Search button that do the same thing (on the Wiki).

Always wondered about that,
Also something needs to be done about all the spam in the image gallery, I think it needs better integration with the forums and have it so only members can post/comment

The Go and Search buttons have different purposes. If you type "Anatomy" and hit "Go", then you will Go to the Anatomy page. If you hit "Search", it will bring up pages that have title or text matches, not the actual page. Slightly different functions.

Don't most people hit "Enter" instead of clicking a button? That does the same thing as clicking "Go."

"Go" is automatically highlighted when you select the textbox, so when you hit enter, the "Go" button is "pressed". If "Go" wasn't there, hitting enter would search the wiki instead of going straight to the page.

Something that has just been frustrating me is how the search keeps saying that "your search contained too many common words" and it's not very good at deciding what's a common word
For example: I can search 'name' an it will work, but I can't search 'the 10,000 post thread', it just rejects this

I just tried doing the exact same thing. I know what you're trying to do. Just search someone's name and them sort by thread. You can save counting time by knowing that a page is 15 posts.

Some of the specialty pages on the Wiki
aren't easily accessible enough to be useful, and I think that should be improved. For example, the "year" pages (
2009, etc.) are only accessible via embedded links inside articles. Thus, a casual user of the site who wants to find old event lists might have a hard time finding such information if they weren't familiar with the layout of the site. Similarly, I fear that articles not relating specifically to events (such as
Scioly History or Z's
registration numbers table) will languish unread because they aren't linked in an easy-to-find place.
I would suggest creating a new master list, linked on the Wiki landing page, of all the miscellaneous articles that could be of interest. That way, people, especially more casual users of the site, could find desired information without having to just "stumble" upon it.
