so it's basically a two way thing. however a slight advantage palin has is she has actually been in administrative office while the obama ticket has only senators. what do you think about the importence of this?

i think that it suggests that palin has some administrative experience while the others don't

The candidates are flip-flopping so much that I am as well. I'm not really a fan of McCain anymore. I've gotta go with Obama now.
Palin is a publicity stunt in my mind. She really wasn't the best choice for the job, but she at least will attract attention, and the GOP hopes that means votes.

but you could say the same about Obama and the possibility of a black president, is that any different?

Yes, Obama's the candidate. Obviously he chose himself, but he didn't choose himself as a publicity stunt.
Obama's not running because he's black, matter of fact I don't even see why it matters that he's black. He's running for president because he feels he's the best person for the job.
Yes, this applies to Palin too. I'm sure she thinks she's the person for the VP job. But she didn't pick herself. And out of the pool of possible choices, she just doesn't seem to be the best one.
You can't compare the two in the way you said.
I'm not saying I dislike Palin. Obviously she's a great person who wants the best for this country. But I don't agree with many of her views. And the Obama campaign is leaving me feeling a lot more comfortable about Obama/Biden in the White House than McCain/Palin.

my problem with obama is some of the minor discrepencies he has in some of speeches pertaining to history, especially the claim that his uncle helped liberate Auswitch in Germany, which is impossible, there were a couple others that i can't think of off the top of my head

I believe McCain has just as many, if not more. Well, he's made obvious mistakes regarding different matters during speeches, which is the same thing.
As far as I know, Obama's uncle was involved in the liberation of a concentration camp, so he's not just making stuff up. It just wasn't Auschwitz. Which means he made a mistake.

The fact of the matter is that experience matters far less in determining the actions of a president than views on the issues. People should vote on the issues, experience should really be a tie breaker in most cases.

Right now, its a culture war. Once the Palin shock dies down, and we start getting back to the issues, things should be getting a lot better.
