Scylla and Charybdis were the origin of the phrase "between a rock and a hard place"
They were featured in the Odyssey, where Odysseus has to go in the strait. He goes by Scylla the first time through. Then he go's through a second time and goes by Charybdis, where he survives by clinging onto an olive branch.
For lack of a better reason, I think I'll protect Random, because he "won" round number 50.
That's not finalized, though.
EDIT: NVM this is an identity.
Isn't Starpug Italian? And Idaho?
I accuse Starpug because he is Italian and Scylla rock is in Italy.

The self clue does not point to heritage. I am to blame for this, as I left out a key piece on accident.

"First in a line of succession"

Also Paleonaps95, you are wrong. Enjoy your black mark.

The clue will come later today.
BWhat do they all have the same of?
AThe Lady died with him but was not born until long after, in 1954.
Correction: A + B + [space] + [Two letters, both uppercase]
If the Lady were real, she would not have died 362 years before she was born.

Ok guys, lets settle down with accusations? This is only the second day, and these accusations are... out there, to say the least. I have a feeling that the self clue will point directly to the assassin's identity, not to a rock that's from the same place as the assassinator.

Like I said, chill with the wild accusations, or we'll have a repeat of round #56. Lets not have that! :x

I am aware that my poetry is less than bearable. There is no need to PM me about this.

This clue points to two people. Therefore, I am allowing protection abilities for informants for this clue.

Those are some things that I see.
Also, when you quote it, you see all the changes that the assassinator has made, just it looks like phpbb takes away lots a spaces. For example

H i.

If you quote this, you will see that I put 10 spaces in between the "h" and "i", but it only looks like one.

EDIT: Most ciphers are about the letters, not each character. However, there are some ciphers that take each character into consideration. Usually these ciphers will change the order of said characters, so most likely this is a Railfence or Columnar Transposition cipher.

EDIT2: I may have done something wrong, but I don't think its a railfence. It could be a Double Columnar Transposition, with 8 9 as the first key, and sipk as the second. However, to be honest, I don't see any point in have 8 9, or even 28 29 as one of the keys. For those of you who don't know, in these types of ciphers, you assign each number an ID, so 8 would be the first number, and 9 would be the second. Then you put the ID's in order based on the numbers to which they corespond. So 5 3 4 would turn into 3 1 2. So 8 9, or even 28 29, would always get turned into 1 2, which doesn't change the ciphertext at all.

I hope that made sense.

About the above cipher text:
Because of formatting problems, you must make a few adjustments.

Put two extra spaces between "os" and "ooithcy"
Put one extra space between "Astlg" and "Ystedrado"
Put one extra space between "hlHas" and "ce"
Put one extra space between "eynit" and "mrzonr"

Now, step forward and fail.
OMG, thats a lot of stuff.

I dont see any hidden messages in the poem, but i will mention that the numbers 9 and 8 make me think of zyzzyva98, So i would put him on a list of people to protect.

As for the italics, its too early in the morning for me to run ciphers and stuff, so i'll look at it later. Right now it just looks like random letters. And i have NEVER seen cipher text with punctuation like that.

Like I said before, it's because its a normal message, punctuation and all, that has most likely been scrambled. The punctuation gets scrambled with it, and that's why he had us put back in the spaces. Wherever two spaces landed next to each other, phpbb cut one of them out.

Wait, so the whole thing is an anagram?

Well, a really fancy anagram. Thats if I'm right, which I may not be. Look up Railfence and Columnar Transposition ciphers, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
