1) Specimen A looks like a sandstone. Specimen B looks like a shale.

2) I think you're looking for varve banding?

3) The shale displays fissility 

4)Marine Regression // A is younger than B.
LMAO I'm struggling on 2 and 3.

For 2., the answer is Liesegang banding. (It is a side view.)

1. Is Genus Mucrospirifer a good index fossil? If so, state what period it is a good index fossil for
2. What characteristics of a specimen make it a good index fossil?
3. What is the half life of The Carbon-14 isotope?
4. What geologic principle states that the same natural processes that we seen in present day have always operated in the universe?
