Alright since I don't know how much time I'm going to have to make this post might as well make it now.

While the officers mull about why someone would care about a random high school in California, the Assassinator attempts to pull his next trick by rigging the house with cameras so that he can better target his next victim. Unfortunately, he forgets that the officers are trained in special ops and they notice someone looking at the conversation. It turns out that the Assassinator was located right next door. The officers tell the Assassinator to freeze and arrest him, taking him to the Alameda Sheriff's Office.

Thanks so much to everyone who played; my profuse apologies for making this game harder than actually beating Troy at SciOly Nationals. I hope you guys all enjoyed that game; I will post explanations shortly (most likely by tonight).

Lmao that was hilarious. Anyways, the reason why I quit was because when I chose waffle for sassy, I actually wanted lumos but CPSciencedude already gave the account to waffle. When I realized that it was lumos after he started posting in this forum, it wouldn't have been any fun for me so I quit.

Nice clues lumo, though I didn't have the time to actually participate this time!

A new sassy has been chosen!

Welcome back everyone. I will now explain the clues that led to each kill and the ID clues that led to me.

Victim #1: dxu46

dxu46 goes to Ladue High School, which is located in St. Louis, Missouri, The baseball team is called the St. Louis Cardinals, which is a bird (thus the clue "birds chirping in the lawn.) The passwords referenced the jersey numbers of famous Cardinals that have been retired (specifically Lou Brock, Whitey Herzog, Ozzie Smith, Bob Gibson, Stan Musial, Enos Slaughter, and Tony La Russa). As dxu46 was being killed, "shine light" was a reference to Astronomy, which I have done many times. "hourglass" refers to It's About Time, which I have also done. (Also "my light" is a reference to Astronomy.)

Victim #2: hmmm

hmmm went to Community Middle School and so I wanted to reference the TV show Community. Community is set in a small town in Colorado and its main character is Jeff Winger, which encodes to the sequence in the clue. "fossilized dead animals" also referred to fossils, which hmmm did at one point. Iron was somewhat of a cheeky astronomy fact in terms of the last element that you can get in a star's core before it explodes into a supernova.

Victim #3: linzhiyan

linzhiyan goes to Clayton High School which shares its name with Clayton Kershaw, and so in order to keep the embarassment on the Dodgers, I showed some important matches in the MLB postseason in which he started. "water clock trap" was also a reference to It's About Time.

Victim #4: JoeyC

JoeyC is from Houston, Texas which has been ravaged by tropical cyclones in the past, including Hurricanes Barry, Ike, and Harvey. Notice how all three athletes have those names. "home run" is ofc a reference to baseball which I absolutely love. (Yes, JoeyC, the Astros will take the World Series back to Houston )

Victim #5: DatSciolyBoi

DatSciolyBoi goes to Troy High School which is in Fullerton, California. The town contains Cal State Fullerton which is in the Big West Conference and which defeated the three schools en route to the Elite Eight in 1981. "Literature Humanities" refers to a class in Columbia, which I graduated from.

I didn't really participate but I read the entire game and good job lumo!!!
