The suffixes, if present, are simply appended to the end of the (shortened) school name for any type of tournament. Currently there's no check in the SciolyFF validator enforcing that two teams from the same school should have different suffixes, but that would be a good idea to implement.builderguy135 wrote:Interesting. How would different suffixes work at invitationals? Ex. Example MS Black/Example MS A/Example MS X/Example MSRoboMarth wrote:Actually, the differences in spelling are not much of a problem. If you'd notice in the SciolyFF files themselves, the full name of the school is always used (e.g "West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North"). The site then automatically makes some abbreviations when displaying, like "H.S." for "High School", but for longer school names, a manual abbreviation like "WW-P High School North" (which then gets shortened automatically to "WW-P H.S. North") can be used. Suffixes for multiple teams at one tournament like "B" and "Green" (e.g. Solon H.S. B) are also represented separately.builderguy135 wrote:
It would be hard to do that manually and if you did that automatically how would you account for differences in spelling? (Ex. HSN vs. High School North vs. WWP HSN... You get the idea.)
In any case, the full name of the school should be constant for every set of results. If anyone notices some inconsistency in the way a school is named, please let me know and it can be easily fixed (ty grep and sed).

Re: Unosmium Results and the SciolyFF
Hi all,
Just wanted to give a heads up that I will be on vacation for all of next week, and so I won't be able to work on this project or respond to questions much during this time.
I'll be back soon. (Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about adding support for the Michigan state results).
Thanks again for everyone's help and support!

I think this is fixed now, but I don't have access to a iOS / macOS device to test. Could you (@pepperonipi and @PioBoy) test this for me?

There's no issue with Safari on my desktop, but when I tried this on my iPhone (Safari again), the problem was there.AlfWeg wrote: ↑October 8th, 2019, 11:32 amIf this is still an active thing, this problem has reappeared. Thanks for the reports! Taking a look at it now and will let you know when it is fixed.pepperonipi wrote: ↑October 8th, 2019, 11:42 amThere's no issue with Safari on my desktop, but when I tried this on my iPhone (Safari again), the problem was there.
Edit: Could you see if things work on this test site? https://5d9f65a31eb2890008b582c6--unosm ... m/results/ It should (?) fix the issue on iOS but may cause decreased performance elsewhere.

Re: Unosmium Results and the SciolyFF
Typo alert: On TN C 2019, Hume-Fogg Magnet High School is spelled as "Hume-Fogg Magnet High Schol".
"Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matthew 5:11-12
I have no regrets.
