I suddenly remember who I am and pick up most of the ants. I kill half of them in the process, but instead of freaking out or crying over them, I smile. The rest of the ants, I set them on a leaf, then throw them in the fire. Lastly, I laugh joyfully watching the leaf fall in the fire and thinking about the ants dying.

Scary... rolling for dexterity... a 13! You succeed in killing half of the ants but the other half escapes from the leaf and starts biting you. Inspiration point for staying in character.
