Does it mean that you're allowed to remove the notes from the binder and use it? Or
Does it mean that you can't use it during the test?

How hard do you think they'll be testing us on sea turtles?

Okay. So I've come straight out of Invasive Species and I'm so confused by this. I know this is a binder event which really appeals to me since I did invasive last year (you will be missed Chinese Mitten Crab). I have a question. Where should I start?

1. Make a Quizlet to help you ID the stuff on here.MathLover628 wrote:Okay. So I've come straight out of Invasive Species and I'm so confused by this. 2. Read this.
3. Look up stuff about each of the animals and learn about them, kind of like what you probably did in invasives.

Re: Herpetology B/C
Per a rule FAQ we will NOT have to identify individual species. I'm assuming this still means we will need to be able to identify prominent species, species that have a special conservation status, etc.

I have noticed that many of the subjects in this event can vary widely in color, which sucks for identification. What are some factors y'all are using to ID?

Hi guys!
The Science Olympiad Website study guide for Herpetology refers to Training Material Handouts that need to be referred to, to make Reference Binder pages for Orders and Suborders, but the site keeps saying Training Handouts coming soon.
Does anyone have an old version (or versions) from previous years that can be posted here?

Re: Herpetology B/C
They don't really need to be referenced, but may be useful if you haven't done any ID events before. Essentially, your binder should have a page or so for each of the taxa on the list, with information (of the type listed on the rules) and images.stevehuhdds wrote:Hi guys!
