Re: Pictures, Videos, and Scores
Hey guys- our team has been worrying about controlling the speed of the vehicle in regards to how much the battery has charged. Does anyone have a suggestion to having a way to fix that variable? On a fully charged juiced up battery it goes visibly a little bit faster and has been throwing off our data points. Also, what material do you guys cover the wheels with to increase friction? The material of each floor is different with some places on ceramic floors, some are rubbery tiles, and even the occasional carpet. Any tips to deal with that? Thanks!

You should never have a carpet floor...BuildingFriend wrote:Hey guys- our team has been worrying about controlling the speed of the vehicle in regards to how much the battery has charged. I have banebot wheels and the majority of competitive teams do as well.
With my 7.2 NIMH, I know that between 8 and 8.2V (where voltage is at a slow, gradual decline), I can expect consistent data points. I also have speed of the vehicle based off distance rather than time elapsed.

Re: Pictures, Videos, and Scores
We got a score of ~21 with the cans about 70cm apart, time ~3.8 sec and 25 cm off. Had a lot of issues last minute. I'll update what place we got when we find out!

Hahah thank you guys! I ended up staying till 4AM testing my vehicle on different floors at different parts of Orange County to solidify the score lol. 8 Hours of Sleep in the past 96 hours! Oh YEAH! Special thanks to my Guru windu34 for motivating me and answering my absurd/retarded questions! It's lit!

Re: Pictures, Videos, and Scores
But remember nats is 1cm intervals so it's going to be sagnificantly more difficult to achieve such scores for such increments. I'm not sure how nats scores are going to look yet, but this would definately be very competitive.windu34 wrote:That is very impressive - In my mind, top 6 at natsGoldDigger wrote:Just competed at the Orange County Regionals.
