You're making me kinda uncomfortable.cypressfalls Robert wrote:aww come'on a dream!?!?!?!?!?!?...kinda mean...lolsrsvball95 wrote:Yeah they arecan't wait to see you at state. By the way, Roberson, I had a dream that you guys won state
also, how well does everyone predict they will perform...*Stares at LASA.............somehow
Don't everyone yell at me for being arrogant, I'm not belittling yall's teams, but we think we're probably going to win, though probably not by quite as wide a margin as last year. We've gotten better at a lot of events we were already good at, and we've gotten off to a good start on the new ones, but we have some holes in the team. We hope to patch them up in time for state, but we're not certain we will.
I think Cyfalls and Clements will be neck and neck for second. After that, I think the place order is pretty fluid.
Does anyone know if you can do the trial events at state without them counting into your final score?

I completely agree. I'm putting my money on LASA to win state.
I think that whatever events you do, they count towards your score. That's why you drop 5 events because technically, you don't have to do those 5 trial events even though they do count towards your score. Some teams choose to do some of those trial events and drop some of the other regular 23 that we may not be as good at.

walkingstyx, I don't think his purpose was to imply that the LASA team is bad or not going to do good. I think he was trying to say that you guys are going to be competitive and no matter which team wants to be first (whether it be Clements, Cy-Falls, or anyone else) is going to face a formidable challenge trying to upset the reigning state champions. I think everyone on this board (cypressfall_robert included) has the utmost respect for yalls team and no one (especially Cy-Falls) will underestimate you guys at state.
That being said, I don't think its arrogant for you to think you will get first, nor is it arrogant for any other team that has a legit chance of placing in the top 5 to think that they can get first as long as that desire can be channeled into effective studying/building. If you don't study and build and still think that you can get first, than that is arrogance. I mean, who doesn't want to get first at State?

C Predictions:
1. LASA
2. Cyfalls
3. Clements
But I have a feeling that the point differential won't be as big of a margin as last year mainly because LASA has a target on their head, and Cyfalls wants to get them. I bet that the level of competition will be higher than last year though, because LASA has gotten better and Cyfalls wants to match their strength so they too will get better. Hopefully, this will let us get higher places at Nationals.

Re: Texas 2010
Clements was at Regionals with us. They swept the medals obviously. But they could potentially get top 2cypressfalls Robert wrote:I would say that cy-woods has grown alot stronger this year and could be a challenge to Lasa, Cy-Falls, and Clements <-- has anyone heard aabout them lately?

Re: Texas 2010
The top 5 teams from state last year for C were:
1. LASA
2. Cy-Falls
3. Clements
4. Hyde Park
5. Katy
Hyde Park is not here this year. Katy, Clements, Cy-Falls, and Cy-Woods all went to different regionals this year so States should be pretty interesting.
