There is no FAQ - that is the issue. All I have are (conflicting) opinions from various members of the Ohio and National Tournament event staff.

The FAQ wasn't posted and will likely not be (nationals can choose to answer them, they are not obligated to), nicholasmaurer submitted it to them, but hasn't gotten a response.

Understood. Thanks for the responses. Is this FAQ that you submitted on soinc.org?
I asked them a question and they responded to me within a week or two (give or take).
Sorry if this was a dumb question haha.

Yes, I submitted this as an FAQ on soinc.org a few weeks ago.

Also what banebot hub for the 2-7/8 would fit a 3/16 carbon fiber rod?

I would 3d print these.

(Unless you are looking for the setscrew. I just superglued mine on, but if you don't want to make it permanent, you might need the commercially bought ones.)

Is a laser considered a "non-electric sighting device"(3-h)? If so, what lasers are approved by science olympiad?

No. Lasers involve electricity, and are thus prohibited from Mousetrap. Here is the laser policy.

We drilled a smaller hub to make it fit our axle. Kind of shady but works. It is difficult because the hubs are metal but doable.
