Re: Forestry B/C
It went pretty well. They were all live specimens, but that wasn't a problem (sometimes people have complained about poor quality live specimens). The only thing was that there weren't many questions! There were 10 ID stations with 1 multiple question for each. So, there only ended up being 20 questions total! I feel like if you miss 1 ID, you are already down like, 5 places because then, you got the question that went with it incorrect! 1 wrong ID got you to an 90% :O. But I think we did pretty well considering we were thrown into this event! We went forestry try-hard for 2 weeks!

Well, our test was too large, and therefore, no one got to finish it. However, good job! For that, you all did really well. I would have probably liked that format more. How much time were you given per question?Cjkowalcz wrote:It went pretty well. 3 minutes, which I think is a little more than average or the maximum.

Oh, yeah, it is! I wish we had that kind of time.Cjkowalcz wrote:3 minutes, which I think is a little more than average or the maximum.
How was the outside event facilitated? I'm curious, because I had always tried to imagine what it would be like!HeartCaro wrote:good job! For Michigan State we had 25 min outdoor about 25 questions and 25 min indoor about 25 questions. So for outdoor my partner made me sprint from tree to tree lol it was a workout

Re: Forestry B/C
Lucky. Ours was 2.5 minutes each station (20 stations) for 2 trees each with common and scientific names and 1 question for each tree (6 total per station so 120 points total).Cjkowalcz wrote:3 minutes, which I think is a little more than average or the maximum.
I messed up several trees and got 7th.

Re: Forestry B/C
That sounds so cool! How did the proctors keep track of everybody! So for each tree, you got a dried sample, and the real tree? I've always wanted to take an outdoors Forestry test. With the real trees, did they still have a variety of different trees? How did you guys do?

Re: Forestry B/C
Does anyone have any information about the Texas Forestry test? I know the state list there is a lot different from ours, but I'm interested nonetheless.
