3.6 meters at NYSseadog wrote:What was the target distance at the NYS competition. At the New Jersey Competition the winning score was about 12.5 for 3.9 meters. Time of 10.5 seconds and 1 cm of target.

How fast are you going? Could you provide more details as to at what point in the run you're skidding?shrewdPanther46 wrote:Hi guys,
I do a vehicle event for division B. I have an "issue" regarding bearings. So we used permanently lubricated bearings for our original vehicle and we were putting up competitive times. When constructing our new vehicle, the only thing we changed was the dimensions and the bearings. We switched to unshielded bearings, and we are lubing ourselves. The speed of our car improved greatly to a point where I doubt anyone competing in the event has a comparable time, but with that, our car has barely any internal resistance and its skidding out of control. We are planning on dumping a lot of weight on the chassis to slow it down and hopefully improve traction. Our car skids during acceleration and then skids a lot as the mechanical stopper engages. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks!

Is this for battery buggy or mousetrap? Not sure it's possible to get that fast in mousetrap...shrewdPanther46 wrote:We are covering a 9 meter distance in less than 3 seconds (don't want to reveal exact time for competitive purposes as of now) with our current car, and our new car is even faster. Our old car skids at the end a relatively small amount. Our new car skids at the beginning during acceleration (not easily visible, but you can tell by the path it takes), and it skids a ridiculous amount at the end.

That's what their profile said, but I figured I'd askDarthBuilder wrote:ScottMaurer19 wrote:Is this for battery buggy or mousetrap?
