I really liked the 6th book. Why did you think it was awful?gneissisnice wrote:I thought the 4th and 5th books in the Artemis Fowl series were pretty good, but the 6th book was just awful. But his better series in the Daniel X, Alien hunter series
I belive that the Artemis series tanked after the 5th book.
Eion Colifer did write a good book, The Supernaturalists though.
The Supernaturalist was an excellent book, though.

Re: Favorite Book
For The TIme Paradox, the plot just didn't make any sense. Even ignoring the title paradox, which can be waved away as "it's a paradox, it doesn't have to make sense" there was absolutely no reason why Artemis had to go back to the moment when there was only one lemur left. For a kid who's super smart, you'd figure he would have thought to go back in time to when the species was NOT critically endangered. The entire plot felt incredibly contrived, and it felt ridiculous when we got to the society of a people who enjoy nothing more than killing and wearing extremely endangered species. That was just dumb.amerikestrel wrote:I really liked the 6th book. Re: Favorite Book
I was refering to the Atlantis Complex, the latest book. the story goes a little overboard when (for all those who have not read the book please look away) Artemis developes two personalities, confesses his true emotions and tries to do some good.

Re: Favorite Book
My favorite book:
The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down by Anne Fadiman
It's absolutely fascinating. Culture, medicine, biography.... all in one. Truly, it's one of the best books I've ever read.

I liked P&P, but Romeo and Juliet was dumb. I hated that play so much.yogoperson wrote:Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

Really? I personally loved that play. I was so obsessed I watched the anime and read the play. I had to read it plain because somehow all the cliff notes disappeared. XDamerikestrel wrote:Um, no.
