WM went to the Athens Invitational last year (2010). We unfortunately didn't go this past January.ILoveEgretsClub wrote:Hahaha, I wish...out school district would go insane with 2 invitationals. Also, do any Pennsylvania invitationals draw schools like Fayetteville-Manlius and Ward-Melville or West-Windsor Plainsboro?
I've heard that Athens invitational draws these teams, and that would make that invitational arguably one of the strongest in the country.
WM doesn't go to any invites as far as i know.

Harriton attends the Conestoga invites and the Athens invites. Penncrest probably does the same.kentuckyfan1001 wrote:Does anyone know what invitationals Harriton or Penncrest attend?

We're hopefully attending both Athens and Tiger. However, I don't think our presence is going to make those any more competitive.

Re: Pennsylvania 2011
The Athens Invitational is very well organized and efficiently run. Penncrest has attended for the last three years. The Conestoga Invitational has a shorter history, but is also a quality event, and Penncrest went for the first time last year. Unfortunately, I believe in 2012 these two tournaments will take place on the same weekend. It is a tough choice that may come down to travel/lodging costs - for us, Conestoga is a day trip by school bus whereas Athens requires an overnight stay (and hotels up there are getting a bit pricey).

According to Conestoga's website (http://battleatvalleyforge.wikispaces.com/) it will be on January 14th. Come on, Athens, the same day?!kentuckyfan1001 wrote:Do you know when these invitationals will be held?JCicc wrote:The Athens Invitational is very well organized and efficiently run. Athens has always run their invitational on the MLK weekend. More like come on, Conestoga.
